Kanye West‘s presidential campaign has been one confusing mess. While it remains to be seen — in large part — which state ballots he will appear on, West is moving forward by sharing new campaign materials.
After recently debuting his “Kanye 2020 Vision” merch, this week he has teased a poster for his campaign. The poster incorporates his political slogan alongside pictures of various celebrities, activists, and other figures. Two people in particular that are featured are Vogue editor Anna Wintour and actress Kirsten Dunst, neither of which gave Kanye permission to use their likeness, People reports.
Shortly after West shared the poster, Dunst replied on Twitter asking, “What’s the message here, and why am I apart of it?”
The actress has not provided any additional comments on the poster or Kanye in general, but it’s worth mentioning that she endorsed Bernie Sanders back in March.
As for West, this is just the latest in a series of antics surrounding his presidential run that leaves us scratching our head. He launched his campaign on July 4 and followed the announcement with a rather bizarre appearance in Charleston, South Carolina where he spoke on being against abortion and proclaimed Harriet Tubman “never actually freed the slaves.”
Since then, he’s gone on multiple Twitter sprees delivering negative comments about members of his family, to which Kim Kardashian responded by asking for compassion as Kanye is struggling with bipolar disorder.
In terms of his actual chances on becoming president, West has successfully filed to appear on ballots in Arkansas, Colorado, Oklahoma, Utah, and Vermont, while being denied in New Jersey and Illinois. It remains to be seen if he will be accepted by Iowa, Missouri, Minnesota, Montana, Ohio, and West Virginia, as the petitions are pending.
