Lil Uzi Vert Succumbs to the Future of Live Music

Lil Uzi Vert has announced an upcoming live concert. But due to the ongoing threat of COVID-19, the show will be virtual as fans must tune in to a livestream courtesy of Live Nation.

As it stands, who knows what the future of live music will look like? Some countries have begun experimenting with drive-in shows and social distancing set-ups, but the most convenient means for the time being appears to be livestreaming.

While fans are longing for a more up close and personal experience, on the other side of the equation we see musicians losing out on a large portion of their income without the revenue from concerts. Because of this, Uzi is charging $15 per ticket for his upcoming show.

He will, however, be performing his 2020 studio album, Eternal Atake, for the first time ever, meaning fans will be able to experience songs like “Futsal Shuffle” and “Chrome Heart Tags,” as well as deluxe edition standout “Wassup.”

Uzi isn’t the first artist to put on a virtual show since the outbreak of the coronavirus. Many others have been taking to social media to bless fans with performances for months now, ranging from Post Malone and Swae Lee, to James Blake, Erykah Badu, and more.
