The First on SoundCloud docu-series kicks off today with a premiere episode that spotlights Houston rapper, KenTheMan. Directed by Juan Nieto, the two-minute vignette follows the artist in her hometown as she spends the day with close friends and family. Watch it below.

KenTheMan is known for her breakout single “He Be Like” and breakout EP What’s My Name, which includes the hit song “Rose Gold Stripper Pole” featuring 2Chainz that Rolling Stone certified as one of their top 20 “Best Hip Hop Albums of 2021.”

KenTheMan recently performed in the popular freestyle cypher at the BET Awards alongside new rap stars OT The Real, Armani Caesar, Navelle Hice, NaNa, and fellow Houston native Yung Pooda. Watch the full cypher now, below.

Last week, Ken released — exclusively on SoundCloud — her new single “Baddest,” which samples the Juvenile classic “Back That Azz Up.” She entered into a partnership deal with Asylum Records, which was announced last April.
The upcoming episode of First on SoundCloud will feature fast-rising rap stars EKKSTACY, Isabella Lovestory, Kelow LaTesha, Nezi Momodu, Pote Baby, riela, ROSEMARIE, and TITUS.
