Trae Young is enjoying his new role as the resident bad guy at Madison Square Garden. “WWE SmackDown” took place at Garden Friday night, and Sami Zayn had a special surprise for the crowd. That was Young, who entered to a chorus of boos from the MSG crowd. He seemed to really enjoy being booed.
Young didn’t last long inside MSG. Zayn distracted the ref as Rey Mysterio laid across the ropes. Young started pulling Mysterio on the ropes, but the referee didn’t take kindly to the interference, and he promptly threw the Hawks star out.
It was a cleaver move by the WWE to include Young in their Smackdown Live show from the Garden. Young seems to really love being the Garden’s new Reggie Miller. The next time Young will be at the Garden will be Christmas day to renew the rivalry with the New York Knicks.
