Juice WRLD & Pop Smoke Posthumously Hold Top Apple Music Spots

Deceased rappers Juice WRLD and Pop Smoke prove that their legacies will live on, as their posthumous albums occupy #1 and #2 spots on Apple Music this week.

Within a span of two months, hip hop lost two promising stars. Juice WRLD passed away on December 8, 2019, due to an accidental overdose and Pop Smoke was fatally shot in a senseless robbery on February 19 of this year. Now, within weeks of each other, the rapper’s released posthumous albums.

Pop’s debut album Shoot for the Stars Aim for the Moon officially dropped last week and occupies the #2 spot on Apple Music and is set to top this week’s Billboard 200 chart. While Juice’s Legends Never Die arrived yesterday and has already rocketed to #1 on Apple Music.

Just as their careers were reaching important new highs the rappers were tragically taken from us, but the chart-topping success of their new music proves that this is not the end of their story.
