Best Quarantine Activities for Easter Weekend


Easter weekend is generally a time to get together with friends and family, enjoy some good food, and bask in the sunshine as spring is in full bloom. This year, however, things will be a little different with much of the world being in forced isolation due to the coronavirus pandemic. Still, there are several activities you can enjoy to have a pleasurable holiday weekend.

The internet has been buzzing with ways to keep ourselves occupied while in isolation, seeing as we’ve been doing this whole quarantine thing for weeks now. Whether you’ve been attempting to acquire a new skill, or simply binge watching all that Netflix has to offer, there is no right or wrong way to get through this strange period.

We hope that our list of activities for a more enjoyable Easter weekend in quarantine will lift your spirits and if nothing else, help you occupy some time. See below for the best ways to get through the Easter holiday, and be sure to have a good one!

1. Virtually attend Kanye West’s Sunday Service

Kanye West is teaming up with televangelist Joel Osteen for a special Easter edition of his Sunday Service. They will be joined by Tyler Perry and Mariah Carey, who is reportedly performing her hit, “Hero,” via webcam in honor of all the medical professionals and first responders on call during the pandemic. It remains to be seen if the performances will be live or pre-recorded.

2. Play Cards Against Humanity

3. Learn how to make edibles

We know you’ve been dying to try your hand at weed edibles, and as with many other things on this list, there is no better time. 8. Go for a run

In many areas it’s okay to leave your home for outdoor exercise. This is precisely why there has been an unmistakable running boom in recent weeks. 13. Watch a concert by your favorite musician

With live shows being canceled or postponed, musicians have been forced to get creative. Thankfully, many are utilizing social media to deliver performances for fans. Erykah Badu, for example, was one of the first artists to announce a quarantine concert series, while the likes of James Blake, Snoop Dogg, Questlove, and many others have also come through with similar shows. 14. Read a book

When you’re not staring at one of the many screens in your household, why not try picking up a book? We prefer a physical copy as opposed to a digital version, but hey, to each their own.
