Netflix’s series Tiger King: Murder, Mayhem and Madness certainly provided viewers at home with a foil to the actual madness happening in the world right now. The show became a lighthearted cultural talking point among more severe issues like the decimation of the fashion industry and rumors of mass surveillance from giant tech companies.
The show culminated in seven episodes but Netflix released a one-off special episode over the Easter weekend hosted by comedian Joel McHale. Titled “The Tiger King and I”, the after-show special featured interviews from cast members John Finlay, Saff, John Reinke, Joshua Dial, and Jeff and Lauren Lowe.
However, the special episode was not well received, with many airing complaints that it felt too forced and took away from the genuine bewilderment of the original series.
