Oakley is not just glasses and shoes.
Ok, to be fair this has been true for a while now. The sportswear brand has been expanding its creative world for a hot minute, but Oakley’s latest collaboration just hits different.
Brazilian streetwear brand Piet and Oakley have been quite the duo for a while now, and the pair’s previous collaborations have all been decidedly fresh, revamping signature Oakley elements with edgy verve.
But Oakley and Piet’s third team-up is turning the brands’ joint steez up to the nth degree.
The ever-stylish collaboration ranges from graphic tees and knitted caps to classic items like sneakers and, of course, high-tech glasses.
Some western motifs were also present throughout Piet’s latest Oakley collaboration, particularly with a deliberately fatigued denim set modeled atop a horse. The yeehaw agenda prevails.
Piet’s variation on Oakley’s typically chunky sneakers are also decidedly rugged, encompassing a truly urban spirit, perfectly set off by the cut-off shorts and newsboy-style hats included in the well-bred collection, which releases November 13 on Piet’s website and select stockists.
All of this collection’s Travis Scott-flavored streetwear flair is only further proof that Oakley really can make magic with just about anyone.
If you’re unconvinced, take a gander at Junya Watanabe and Oakley’s amorphous dad shoe, created as part of Brain Dead’s Oakley Factory Team project.
Or what about when Satisfy tackled Oakley’s wonderfully wild and weird Plantaris silhouette, selling out instantly?
So yes, Oakley knows how to get down with the best of them, but as far as being the total package (across apparel, accessories and shoes, you know), Oakley and Piet are unmatched.
