It’s that time again: the Jordan Brand returns with another “Reimagined” classic. This time, the brand plans to revive the iconic Air Jordan 5 “Black Metallic” sneakers.
The Air Jordan 5 “Black Metallic” shoes are restored to near-OG standards, based on speculative mockups. Expect plenty of traditional details, like the matte nubuck uppers, icy sole, and famous “shark teeth.”
However, hailing from the “Reimagined” series, prepare for a few small updates to the famous Jordan 5 shoe.
According to sneaker whisperers, one of the most significant changes happens with the laces, which are now white like Michael Jordan’s player-exclusive pairs (previous general releases featured black laces).
Secondly, the sneaker’s memorable reflective details are no longer reserved for just the tongue. 3M touches will appear through the upper of the “Reimagined” Jordan shoe.
And just F.Y.I., the shiny tongue will still be present, too.

Indeed, the Air Jordan 5 “Black Metallic Reimagined” maintains the tradition with a drop currently scheduled for 2025 All-Star Weekend, February 15 to be exact.
