This Parisian Merch Has a Love-Hate Relationship With the City

Not In Paris is back for its latest edition. Shop the collection on June 19 from the Highsnobiety Shop and iOS App.

Highsnobiety is back in Paris, the city where our now famous “Not In” city series debuted. Welcome to the latest edition of Not in Paris. 

As always, this annual celebration will be a big one, featuring a pop-up shop in the center of the city, a packed events schedule, and exclusive content highlighting pioneering creatives from the French capital. 

However, one thing is different this year: our Paris-themed merchandise has caught a case of Paris syndrome. 

Paris syndrome: “A sense of extreme disappointment exhibited by some individuals when visiting Paris, who feel that the city was not what they had expected.” 

In honor of this very real and very sublime sense of disappointment, or culture shock, we’ve printed the definition on our Paris Syndrome T-shirt. And a Paris Syndrome Baseball Cap. Find them both in the latest Not In Paris collection.

But it’s not all doom and gloom. Elsewhere in the drop are ‘I Love Paris’ graphics, a play on the souvenir merchandise that can be found in the city, and the C’est Nes Pas Paris T-Shirt, an ode to René Magritte’s surrealist painting La Trahison des images (1929). 

Along with our in-house Not In Paris merchandise, a host of collaborations are releasing on June 19 via the Highsnobiety Shop, iOS App, and in our Parisian pop-up store (located at Gallerie Italienne until June 23). 

The collaborators for this year’s edition of Not In Paris include the iconic French newspaper Le Monde, the pastry-making extraordinaire Cedric Grolet, the pioneering Parisian label Y/Project, and the classic sportswear label Lacoste.
