Pop Smoke‘s posthumous debut album has officially been announced with a release date of June 12. The late rapper’s label and family shared the news today after previously teasing new music.
“Pop Smoke Forever,” said Steven Victor, the rapper’s former manager, also revealing the album’s official artwork.
News of the posthumous LP arrives after Victor disclosed just last week that new projects are due to arrive throughout the next year, including a Pop Smoke documentary.
“Throughout the next year we will be sharing new music, as we continue to build Pop’s legacy. In conjunction with his estate we will be making formal announcements on his foundation and music projects,” he stated.
Pop Smoke’s proper debut album will serve as a followup to Meet the Woo and Meet the Woo 2 from July 2019 and February 2020, respectively. The rapper was killed on February 19, 2020 after being shot twice during a home invasion in Hollywood Hills, California.
