With “Say So” zipping its way into top five territory on the Billboard Hot 100 last week, Doja Cat looks to capitalize on the song’s sweltering success with a remix featuring Nicki Minaj.
“CATS OUT THE BAG TWEET #SaySoRemix TO GET A SNEAK PEAK OF MY REMIX WITH @NICKIMINAJ,” Doja wrote, alongside a visualizer for the song’s remix.
Last year, in an interview with Billboard, Doja spoke about how fans initially believed Nicki was going to be featured on Hot Pink. “People thought the surprise feature was going to be Nicki because I blurred the name out at first — and, well, the album is titled Hot Pink,” she said last November. “Also, I’m just a huge fan of Nicki. I blurred out the name, but it wasn’t necessarily to create a sense of anticipation specifically around.” The surprise feature ended up being Gucci Mane on “Like That.”
Along with her Hot 100 success, this week, Doja Cat notched her first No. 1 on the Dance/Mix Show Airplay chart with “Say So.” Previously, Doja scored her first chart-topping radio single on the Rhythmic Songs chart earlier this month.
