SOURCE SPORTS: Nuggets Fire Back, Even Season Series with Thunder Behind Jokić-Murray Duo

One night after surrendering a dominant fourth quarter to the Thunder, the Denver Nuggets responded with a statement win of their own. Powered by Nikola Jokić’s 35 points, 18 rebounds, and 8 assists, and Jamal Murray’s 34 points, Denver exploded in the second half to defeat Western Conference leader Oklahoma City 140-127 on Monday night.

The win ties the season series at 2-2 and marks Denver’s highest-scoring game — and the most points OKC has allowed all year.

All six Nuggets who played 20 or more minutes scored at least 14 points, showcasing the team’s offensive depth against the NBA’s top-ranked defense.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander kept his streak alive with 25 points, marking his 59th consecutive game with 20+, while Lu Dort added a season-high 26 points, hitting a career-best eight threes.

Despite the loss, OKC remains atop the West, but Denver’s strong second half — outscoring the Thunder 73-54 — sends a clear message with the playoffs looming.

Both teams are back in action on ESPN on Wednesday, with OKC visiting Boston and Denver hosting Minnesota.
