High-Octane Dressing? ‘White Lotus’ Talent? Burberry’s Been Right On the Money

With a Saltburn-inspired collection that really hammered in the argument for formal-over-casual, as well as not one but two of The White Lotus‘s main cast members joining their ranks, Burberry’s really been on something of a home run lately.

Drawing the curtain of London Fashion Week, Daniel Lee’s most recent offering saw an army of lusciously-layered leathers, velvets, and wools strutting along a blue-carpeted catwalk. Leaning into what’ll undoubtedly be the year’s most sought-after colors, this line-up was stacked with shades of brown, maroon, and green, fur-trimmed and embroidered.

Not unlike his peers in Milan and Paris, Lee’s Burberry seems to have taken a step back from an anything-goes athleisure angle, and has instead laid eyes on how to rejuvenate more regal codes of dress:

Dapper suits in ornate floral patterns, and majestically large rain coats feel decidedly less everyday, but are all the more desirable because of it. Not to mention the effects of having HBO’s – and, well, the Internet’s – man of the hour, Jason Isaacs, premiering it.

Previously, the British heritage brand had also tapped Isaacs’ equally charismatic co-star, Aimee Lou Wood, as one of the faces of their London In Love campaign for summer 2025.

The evidence is damning: By associating with the biggest anthology series of recent memory, and churning out pieces that are safe to lead the charge of next season’s trends, Burberry’s fully on the pulse.

According to Burberry, Formal Is the New Casual:

Cashmere Scarf

There’s no discussing Burberry without mentioning their scarves …

Classic Trench Coat

… or their iconic trench coats. Both those with …

Camden Trench Coat

… and those without the double breasted buttons and belt. As elegant as they are practical.

Leather Bomber

Just like this pilot jacket. It’s luxurious in two ways. One, that it’s made of supple, buttery calf skin. And tow, it’s relaxed silhouette will make you want to wear it all. the. time. How’s that for getting your buck’s worth?

Checked Zip Up

With spring ahead, overshirt season awaits. This forrest green check is the ideal add on to a look of classics, immediately up-leveling the outfit without costing you an ounce of extra effort.

Logo Scarf

All checked out (pun intended)? Then maybe this varsity slash stole inspired wool shawl is for you.

Cotton Shirt

Dress shirts have never gone, and will never go out of style. But for a while there, it appeared sweatshirts and other sportier tops edged them out a little. Thank God for their staying power though, ’cause even with a slouchy pair of jeans, nothing, and I mean NOTHING, hits like a crisp button-up.

Silk Tailored Pants

People are surprised at just how everyday a pleated pair of trousers can truly be. No matter what you combine them with, the entire getup’ll instantly feel more stylish and more mature. And don’t even get me started on their comfort.

Suede Holdall Bag

Big, handy bags > everything else.

Loafers

Loafers like these will make your life easier because they defy dress codes. How so? They’ll slot into fancy dinner plans, Sunday morning coffee runs, and a working day’s considered nonchalant ‘fit – always appropriate, never upstaging.
