Nike’s Techy New Air Max Gets Into the Olympic Spirit

It’s been a busy six months for the Nike Air Max Dn.

Introduced as the American sportswear giant’s techy new sneaker, the future of its iconic Air Max range, the half-year since its reveal has seen the shoe dominate Nike’s Air Max Day and be picked up by Nike’s biggest collaborators.

Now, the 2024 Olympic Games are well underway and the Air Max Dn is among the sneakers getting into the Olympic spirit.

Along with creating many official uniforms for the Olympics (including some beautiful skateboarding kits), Nike is launching a range of Olympic-themed sneakers.

The Nike Air Max Dn USA is one of those Olympic-themed sneakers, recently seen on the feet of Snoop Dogg in Paris and Team USA athletes on the podium receiving their Olympic medals (including skateboarder Nyjah Huston).

The patriotic sneakers take the colors of the American flag and utilize them for a great-looking colorway. They feature a navy blue and white base interspersed by pops of red detailing found on the brand’s inimitable swoosh and air bubbles in the sole.

It’s a similar flag-based concept to what Nike used for its Air Jordan 6 USA release in 2000 for the Sydney Olympics (which, coincidentally, is also making a return for the 2024 Olympics).

One of the many Nike Air Max Dn sneakers we were waiting to release (the rest include silver bullet renditions and a luxe Size? collaboration), the USA colorway is available now for $170.

Nike has launched a bumper sneaker roster for the summer games, spanning from subtle grey Jordan 4s to safari print basketball shoes that instantly became a collector’s item. Now, we’re just waiting for Alexis Sablone’s wild, scaly skate shoes to drop.
