From a Fashion POV, France Might’ve Already Won the Euros

Elsewhere, we’ve shone a light on some of our soccer – sorry, football – players’ best dressed outings. Upon further review, however, we’ve had to assess that Team France is in the lead, as far as pre Euros fashion is concerned.

Whichever way the pendulum may swing on-field, it’s certainly fun to see these world-class athletes’ off-field personal style for a change. Not to worry though, if what you thought you were getting here was a look at kits – head right this way please.

Now, we’re not making any calls as to how this is to bleed over into actual game performance, but it certainly can’t hurt to think of it as a good omen, no? Up to you.

Either way, let’s further bask in anticipation of tomorrow’s kick off by giving these guys their props. A win’s a win, with or without a ball involved.

Euros Fashion: Look Like Team France’s Best Dressed

Youssouf Fofana

Donning a leisurely but no less luxe combination of beiges, pearls, and graphic knits, Youssouf Fofana – AS Monaco’s Midfielder – makes a persuasive case for soft summer loungewear.

Ousmane Dembélé & Benjamin Pavard

I’m gonna go out on a whim here, and publicly state my suspicion that PSG Right Winger Ousmane Dembélé and Inter Milan’s Central Defender, Benjamin Pavard, read my previous article on ensemble sets.

True or false, we’ll never know. We can confirm, however, they each did a good job sporting these navy blue two-pieces, lending casual looks an immediate upgrade – by dialing down the effort. If it’s so easy to look this good, what’s your excuse?

Jules Koundé

This dude drove fashion X (as in, fashion Twitter) absolutely crazy. This is a serve. Oozing with taste and confidence, FC Barcelona’s Right Back Jules Koundé stuns, dare I say slay – as per usual, with total disregard for stereotypes of how a male is to dress. He may or may not have also single-handedly brought back the tie, too, by the way, so better go and raid your dad’s closet for one before your siblings do.

Even if France loses: No offense, but this is the victory of a Euros fashion race that, so far, was not even close.
