Anne-Marie and Doja Cat know that your formative years have their ups and downs, but that’s just what what it’s like “To Be Young.”
On the new collaboration, released Friday (July 17), the female duo paint a glittery daydream of youth straight out of a coming-of-age movie. “Fall in love, broken heart / Break the rules, drink too much / We’re all a mess, but I guess / This is what it feels like to be young,” they belt in the anthemic chorus.
In the accompanying quarantine-style video, Anne-Marie and Doja sing the tune around their respective homes with colorful effects.
“To Be Young” follows Anne-Marie’s recent single, “Love Me Land,” which dropped earlier this month.
