Lonr. Dedicates Billboard Live At-Home Set to Those Wrongfully Incarcerated: 'I Want to Do Right by Them'

Lonr. (pronounced “loner”) hosted a Billboard Live At-Home performance Wednesday (July 15) to raise money for The Bail Project, which combats mass incarceration by paying bail for individuals.

“There are things stacked up against us in our community, and systemic racism is one of those things,” the R&B artist said at the beginning of his set. “So people who were wronged and were only trying to do right, I want to do right by them.”

Lonr. dusted off his swoon-worthy H.E.R.-assisted song “Make the Most” from the 2020 BET Awards last month for the Billboard Live set, but not before he took his shirt off for a steamy display dedicated to “all the shorties out there looking for love.” Once he wrapped, he left fans with this message about love: “If you got somebody in your life that you want to make the most with, you should make the most with them in this moment, because this is the only moment we have.”

Lonr. also got online concertgoers hopping out of bed and rocking out again with “Safe Zone,” “Unruly” and “A.M.” from his 2020 debut album Land of Nothing Real.
