Rock the Vote is ready to get fans fired up for the election on Thursday (June 18) with their virtual Democracy Summer 2020 concert.
Featuring co-headliners Katy Perry and The Black Eyed Peas, the two-hour event will be hosted by Eve and Chuck D alongside actors Rosario Dawson and Logan Browning.
Other acts set to take the stage during the virtual concert include Ne-Yo, Big Freedia, Lucy Hale, Amara La Negra, Saweetie, Sklyar Astin, Max, Leslie Grace, Dove Cameron, Sofia Carson, Rich Brian and Michael K. Williams, along with special appearances by former Democratic presidential candidates Sen. Elizabeth Warren, Sen. Cory Booker and Obama-era Secretary of Housing and Urban Development Julian Castro.
According to a statement on the Rock the Vote Facebook page, the concert is meant to remind young people, especially first-time voters that “we choose our Sheriffs, our Police Chiefs, our District Attorneys, our Mayors and our Judges, not to mention our Senate and President.”
The Democracy Summer concert is set to begin streaming at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT, and will be available to watch via democracysummer.org as well as the organization’s official Facebook and YouTube channels.
