6ix9ine Scores First Streaming Songs Chart No. 1 With ‘Gooba’

'Gooba' also debuts atop Hot Rap Songs.

6ix9ine nabs his first No. 1 on Billboard’s Streaming Songs chart with “Gooba,” which debuts at No. 1 on the list dated May 23.

“Gooba” debuts with 55.3 million U.S. streams earned in the tracking week ending May 14, according to Nielsen Music/MRC Data.

The song exceeds 6ix9ine’s previous best on Streaming Songs: “Fefe,” featuring Nicki Minaj, which debuted and peaked at No. 2 on the Aug. 4, 2018-dated tally with 45.7 million streams.

6ix9ine is the third-straight act to score their first Streaming Songs No. 1, following Megan Thee Stallion with “Savage” and Kid Cudi as part of “The Scotts.”

Concurrently, “Gooba” also bows atop the streaming-, airplay- and sales-based Hot Rap Songs, 6ix9ine’s first No. 1 on the list, following the No. 3 peak of “Fefe.” In addition to its 55.3 million streams, “Gooba” earned 24,000 digital downloads toward the hybrid chart.

On the Billboard Hot 100, “Gooba” starts at No. 3, representing 6ix9ine’s best debut, topping “Fefe” and its No. 4 start, and tying “Fefe” for his best rank on the list in his two-and-a-half years on the chart, having first appeared with the No. 12-peaking “Gummo” in December 2017.
