Diddy shared a heartfelt tribute video on Instagram dedicated to his late ex-girlfriend Kim Porter and fallen friend Andre Harrell on Wednesday (May 20).
The touching visual shows Harrell and Porter sharing a dance together at a party.
“SAVE ME A DANCE!! @ladykp @andreharrell ,” Diddy wrote on Instagram on Wednesday (May 20). “I PROMISE Y’ALL I’M GOING TO FINISH WHAT WE STARTED!!! REST IN POWER. S—t done got REAL!!!! ✊”
Harrell passed earlier this month at age 59 of heart failure. He served as a mentor to Diddy early on in his career in the 1990s. “I honestly still can’t believe it. I’ve got to give myself the reality of this in doses. Because I can’t even handle this,” he wrote on social media. “I hope to God that you are all blessed to have someone in your life that loves you and believes in you like this man believed in me.… I’m going to miss him so much. I can’t even imagine life without Dre. God bless @gianni, @onealmcknight and the rest of the family. ✊LOVE YOU FOREVER @andreharrell !!!!!!!!!!
As for Porter, she passed in 2018 with lobar pneumonia, according to the medical examiner-coroner. “I MISS YOU SOOOOOO MUCH. So much,” wrote Diddy on her one-year anniversary. “Every time I get sad I look at this video and it brings a smile to my face. I THANK GOD FOR THE PRECIOUS TIME HE ALLOWED US TO HAVE WITH YOU. I WISH YOU WERE HERE WITH US RIGHT NOW AND THIS WAS ALL A DREAM. I WILL NEVER GIVE UP ON THAT WISH. NEVER!!! Love you forever Kimberly Antwinette Goodwin Porter.”
