This weekend, fans will be able to skate down memory lane with Verzuz’s upcoming matchup between Ludacris and Nelly.
Following the record-breaking battle with Jill Scott and Erykah Badu, Swizz Beatz and Timbaland announced that the two hip-hop juggernauts were on deck for their Instagram Live brainchild.
In the 2000s, Ludacris carved a lane as one of hip-hop’s most versatile MCs. His ability to hopscotch his way from Atlanta upstart to mainstream superstar was impressive, as he notched five No. 1 records on the Hot 100 such as “Money Maker” and “Stand Up.”
Nelly’s sing-songy prowess made him a hot ticket in the 2000s, as well. He churned out four No. 1 Hot 100 records, including his Kelly Rowland-assisted track “Dilemma” and “Hot in Herre.”
