Drake gave fans a look into his top five all-time rappers list via the Instagram comments section Thursday (May 14). Drizzy’s lineup includes Lil Wayne, Jay-Z, Andre 3000, The Notorious B.I.G., and Toronto rapper, Young Tony, commonly known as OVO Hush.
Under Hush’s post, which displayed old mixtapes the rapper was featured on, Drake left a comment revealing his coveted five. “My top 5 is Biggie, Hov, Wayne, Young Tony, and 3000 since nobody asked,” he wrote. Young Tony earned his stripes as a thriving MC for the Canadian rap group Deep Pockets in the 2000s.
As for Drake, earlier this week, he fell to country icon Kenny Chesney in the race for No. 1 on the Billboard 200. Drake’s Dark Lane Demo Tapes secured the No. 2 position, despite having all 14 tracks land on the Hot 100. The project’s highest leaper came from “Toosie Slide,” which sits at No. 4. “Pain 1993” featuring Playboi Carti debuted at No. 7, giving Drake his 38th top 10 record on the Hot 100. His latest feat ties him with Madonna for most all-time in the chart’s history.
