Princess Love Norwood is officially done with Ray J. She filed divorce papers against the singer/reality star, born Willam Ray Jr, on May 5 in a Los Angeles Court, according to court records.
The couple have two children, daughter Melody Love, 1, and son Epic, born December 30th. The two starred on VH1’s Love & Hip Hop: Hollywood and more recently in an original series called The Conversation that appeared on Zeus News.
The divorce filing comes 11 months after Princess claimed Ray J left her stranded in Vegas, when she was eight months pregnant, after they attended the BET Soul Train Music Awards.
The couple married in 2016 in a lavish fairy tale wedding in downtown Los Angeles. Love wore a Lazaro gown and bedazzled Louboutin heels with a jeweled headpiece and was flanked by nine bridesmaids in photos published in California Wedding Day. The couple’s four white dogs were pulled down the aisle in their own dog chariot, and Ray J, who had ten groomsmen, wore a black tux with a gold sash. Singer Anthony Hamilton performed at the nuptials.
Ray J’s rep has not responded to Billboard’s request for comment. As recently as yesterday, the singer appeared to be sheltering in place with Princess and their two children, according to his recent Instagram post of how he is spending his time during the pandemic by cooking lunch, shopping at target, and working a recording studio.
