Drake, Justin Bieber, Kevin Hart, and more are stepping up to the plate in a big way in light of the COVID-19 pandemic. This week, celebrities are giving away their most prized possessions along with one-in-lifetime experiences as part of Philadelphia 76ers’ co-owner Michael Rubin’s ALL-IN Challenge.
Created by Rubin, his ALL-IN Challenge is uniting stars from different realms to provide a helping hand to those in need of food during the COVID-19 outbreak. As part of an online auction — and in some cases enter to win giveaways — esteemed celebs are giving away their most treasured items like Meek Mill and his Maybach. Others such as Justin Bieber and Kevin Hart are providing once-in-a-lifetime opportunities. As part of his acceptance for the ALL-IN Challenge, Bieber says he will fly to a winner’s hometown, visit their home and perform “One Less Lonely Girl.”
Hart is offering a speaking role in his next film and a VIP experience with a trailer, assistant, and car service. Rubin himself is offering tickets to every championship sporting event, including the Super Bowl, NBA Finals, World Series, and more.
Last night (April 16), Drake followed their acts of altruism after being challenged by Tom Brady. Drizzy is giving a lucky winner a chance to fly on his Air Drake plane to Los Angeles for a weekend out with him and his OVO team at Delilah. The 6 God will also provide tickets to his concert in the winner’s hometown whenever he’s able to return on the road. Lastly, the winner will be gifted care packages from OVO and Nike.
“COVID-19 has impacted our lives in such an unprecedented way, but through it all, I’ve been encouraged by our country’s relentless desire to help others, especially around the ever-growing number of families now struggling to find food,” says Rubin in a press release. “That spirit was the inspiration behind wanting to start the ALL-IN Challenge and bring together the sports, business and entertainment communities to create the largest digital fundraising movement ever to feed those in need. It takes unity and strength in numbers to save lives and ensure that our most vulnerable populations have consistent access to healthy meals.”
According to a press release, the ALL-IN Challenge has partnered up with several food organizations such as Meals on Wheels, No Kid Hungry, America’s Food Fund & World Central Kitchen. All of the funds raised will be evenly split amongst all four charities to help battle the food insecurities during the COVID-19 crisis.
