Goldwin’s newest collaboration is staying in the family, sort of.
The outdoor brand teamed up with Jean-Luc A. Lavelle and his label, _J.L-A.L. The partnership is slightly more personal than the average collab, considering Lavelle is a former Goldwin 0 designer.
The Goldwin x _J.L-A.L collection consists of three pieces, including the GORE-TEX Pro 3L Shell Jacket, the GORE-TEX Pro 3L Shell Pants, and the Crewneck Top. Each of these styles come in two colorways: blue and gray.
The ski-inspired collab between Goldwin and _J.L-A.L showcases each of the brand’s specialties. Lavelle’s signature organic cutting style is seen throughout the capsule with three-dimensional panels, but Goldwin’s techy construction also serves as a base to the collection.
Since he founded _J.L-A.L in 2020, Lavelle has quickly made a name in the gorpcore world. Putting his mark on the ROA Katharina sneaker, plus the HOKA Clifton 9 sneakers more recently, the London-based label is certainly no stranger to the power of a good collaboration.
So, it only makes sense that after a few years of success the designer is coming home, in a way, and paying homage to a brand that made an impact on his career.
The Goldwin x _J.L-A.L collection will be released worldwide on November 22 online and in-store at Goldwin’s global flagships.
