Jerry Springer, who hosted the controversial Jerry Springer talk show from 1991 to 2018, died at his home in the Chicago area. A family spokesperson told TMZ that Springer “had been diagnosed with cancer a few months ago, and this week he took a turn for the worse.” He was 79 years old.
