It appears LeBron James and Carmelo Anthony will finally become teammates in the NBA. Anthony announced on social media Tuesday that he has signed with the Los Angeles Lakers.

Anthony’s agent told ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski that the contract is a one-year deal.

Anthony averaged 13.4 points while playing 24.5 minutes per game with the Portland Trail Blazers this season. He’s still a solid scorer who should be able to help the Lakers at the three and should help solidify the bench.

After losing in the first round of the playoffs, the Lakers are hoping to make another championship run next season. If James and Anthony Davis can stay healthy, and Russell Westbrook can put up his usual numbers, there’s a chance Anthony finally wins a ring before he calls it a career.

The first two days into NBA free agency, the Lakers have done a great job revamping the roster. They have now added back Dwight Howard and Trevor Ariza, not to mention adding Anthony and Malik Monk. With all these additions, the Lakers should be ready for their revenge tour this season.
