From Brandy Vs. Monica to Jeezy Vs. Gucci Mane to The Isley Brothers vs. Earth, Wind, and Fire, the popular Instagram series brought some names together that fans would have never thought would step in the Verzuz ring.

While Verzuz fans are witnessing the greatness behind the show, some fans want more names like Mary J. Blige and Ice Cube to step in the ring with an opponent. Both have made it clear that a battle isn’t really on their radar. IN a recent interview with The Breakfast Club, when asked about his interest in doing a Verzuz battle Ice Cube responded, “Not really. It’s a great idea, great concept, but it’s nothing that’s like, on my bucket list or wish list or nothing like that,” the hip-hop heavyweight stated.

“It started off on an adversary tip and then it showed a lot of love in Verzuz so I like how it’s evolved because guys shouldn’t be really going up there putting catalog against catalog. That right there to me ain’t what it’s about,” he continued.

Ice Cube then gave his take on how he would have run the show. “My version of Verzuz would have been, I pull somebody out there like Chuck D or Public Enemy or something, and I play all the songs I love from him and he play all the songs he love from me.”

“It’s a lovefest. But, it’s not something that I’m thinking about doing. If it comes about, who knows. I ain’t sayin’ yeah, I ain’t sayin’ no.”

Who do you think would be fit to step in the Verzuz ring against Ice Cube?
