EA Sports is bringing back one of the most beloved sports franchises ever.
After years of hiatus due to licensing and compensation issues, college football is returning to EA Sports. The game will be called EA Sports College Football rather than NCAA Football.
EA Sports College Football will include the rights to more than 100 institutions featuring logos, stadiums, uniforms, gameday traditions, and more that fans have come to know and love.

The last NCAA Football game was NCAA 14 from the 2013 season and the players in the game or any previous iterations were not compensated for their likenesses because they didn’t retain their own image rights under NCAA rules.
“We’ve heard from the millions of passionate fans requesting the return of college football video games,” said Cam Weber, EA SPORTS EVP and GM. “We love the energy, tradition and pageantry of college football and I am beyond thrilled to say we are back in development. We have a lot of really exciting work ahead of us, and a great team that is eager to bring a new game to players in the next couple of years.”
