From Taylor Swift's Surprise LP to Logic's Finale & More, What's Your Favorite New Music Release? Vote!

This week, music fans were surprised on multiple occasions, as Taylor Swift announced she would release a new album, while Logic revealed he would drop his last album before retiring from the rap game.

The Lover artist made sure no one stayed calm this week because her eighth album Folklore takes her back to the woods, as indicated by the chilling greyscale album artwork, and digs deep into her singer-songwriter roots that aren’t quite country but sway more to indie rock.

As for Logic, the 30-year-old rapper tied up his career with a bookend No Pressure LP that complements his 2014 debut album Under Pressure. Whether this truly signals the end of his six years under the spotlight, he comes into a different one as a new father, one that’s touched upon in “DadBod” and is one of the main reasons for stepping away from the mic — albeit not forever.

“I love music and I’m gonna continue to make music on my own. I can’t not just make music. It’s a journal for me. It’s how I express myself. It’s how I heal, but with Logic, I’m stepping away,” he explained to Billboard just hours before the release.

But this week ushered in more big news from the biggest stars: J Balvin, Bad Bunny, Dua Lipa and Tainy joined forces for “Un Dia (One Day),” a Spanglish summer anthem that gives listeners more to think about than to dance about, which also comes as a surprise considering the foursome being noted. But with a chorus like, “One day you’ll love me again/ One day you’ll love me for sure/ One day you’ll wake up feeling how I’ve been feeling/ Baby, you’ll knock on my door,” the reggaeton and pop singers are looking to patch up their broken hearts.

So what’s going to be on repeat for you this weekend? Vote below!
