Haim Lands Second U.K. No. 1 Album With 'Women In Music Pt. III'

Haim‘s Women In Music Pt. III (Polydor/Universal) enters the U.K. album chart at No. 1, as “Savage Love (Laxed – Siren Beat)” by Jawsh 685 and Jason Derulo (RCA/Sony) climbs 4-1 on the singles countdown.

Haim debuted atop the Official Charts Company listings with their 2013 debut, Days Are Gone, but the 2017 follow-up, Something To Tell You, started and peaked at No. 2 as Ed Sheeran held sway with Divide. The new Women in Music Pt. III has the most downloads and vinyl sales of the week. Overall, it beats Bob Dylan‘s Rough and Rowdy Ways (Columbia/Sony), last week’s new entry at No. 1, into second place by some 4,000 combined units.

Jessie Ware‘s What’s Your Pleasure? (Virgin/Universal) arrives at a career-best No. 3, becoming her fourth straight top 10 album. Lewis Capaldi‘s Divinely Uninspired To A Hellish Extent (EMI/Universal) holds steady at No. 4, as does Harry StylesFine Line (Columbia/Sony) at No. 5.

Khruangbin’s third album, Mordechai (Dead Oceans), is new at No. 7, not only their first top 10 but their first U.K. top 75 appearance. It also tops the OCC’s Official Record Store Chart as the bestseller of the week in independent stores.

“Savage Love (Laxed – Siren Beat)” began its emergence as a viral melody on TikTok by teenage New Zealander Jawsh 685. Derulo then wrote lyrics and added his vocal for the single release, which has weekly combined units of 57,000, including six million streams. It’s Jawsh 685’s first U.K. No. 1 single and Derulo’s fifth.

DaBaby’s “Rockstar” (Interscope/Universal) featuring Roddy Ricch drops to No. 2 after an aggregate six weeks at the top. Lady Gaga and Ariana Grande‘s “Rain On Me” (Republic/Interscope/Universal) dips 2-3 and “Breaking Me” (Positiva/Universal) by Topic featuring A7S slides 3-4.

“Rover” (Parlophone/Warner) by S1mba featuring DTG holds at No. 5. Styles continues to climb with “Watermelon Sugar,” 7-6, and there’s a 10-7 improvement for Regard & Raye’s “Secrets” (Ministry of Sound).
