Prince's "Baltimore" Music Video: Watch Here

The Prince estate has released a new music video for the late artist’s 2015 track, “Baltimore.” While the song was written about the murder of Freddie Gray in Baltimore, Maryland in April of 2015, the coinciding visual incorporates clips from Black Lives Matter protests following the death of Gray.

“The system is broken. It’s going to take the young people to fix it this time. We need new ideas, new life,” Prince once shared, as the quote closes the video.

The timely release of the music video comes as much of the world continues to protest surrounding the recent murders of George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, and Ahmaud Arbery, as well as countless other black individuals at the hands of police officers.

“Baltimore” is taken from Prince’s 2015 album, HITnRUN Phase 2. You can watch the Ralston Smith-directed music video below.
