Today Charli XCX released her fourth studio album, how i’m feeling now. The LP was written and recorded in self-isolation due to the coronavirus pandemic, making it a true DIY project.
Charli made use of whatever tools she could find during the recording process, as she also invited fans to participate in the making-of by selecting singles, contributing videos, and more. Executive produced by Charli, A. G. Cook, and BJ Burton, the album is a culmination of a six-week creative period of the likes the artist had never previously been a part of.
“Thank u for all of your contributions and support. it’s been such an amazing experience and i’m so so proud to have you all as my fans,” the English singer-songwriter said on Instagram leading up to the release.
According to Charli’s label, the 11 tracks on how i’m feeling now explore a vast range of human feelings, which are in turn brought into context in light of the coronavirus lockdown. You can dive into the one-of-a-kind album now underneath.
