50 Cent Apologizes to Megan Thee Stallion For Posting Meme About Shooting

50 Cent did something he rarely does on Monday night (July 27): he apologized for making fun of someone. Specifically, 50 (born Curtis Jackson) issued a heartfelt I’m sorry to Megan Thee Stallion after posting memes that poked fun at the fellow rapper’s recent shooting in an incident involving Tory Lanez.

“Damn I didn’t think this s–t was real,It sounded so crazy @theestallion i’m glad your feeling better and I hope you can accept my apology,” 50 wrote on Monday (July 27). “I posted a meme that was floating around. I wouldn’t have done that if i knew you was really hurt sorry.”

50 included the video Meg recently posted in which she assured her fans that she’s doing okay and to not believe the “fake ass” stories about her.

The June 12 incident reportedly involved an argument with Lanez, who was arrested for carrying a gun in his car, in the Hollywood Hills early that morning, which Megan confirmed on her own Instagram the following Wednesday (July 15). She reported that she’d suffered from multiple gunshot wounds and underwent surgery at the hospital, while Page Six reported a day later that Lanez had allegedly shot the “Hot Girl” rapper.

It appears that 50 has since taken down the offensive Boyz n the Hood film memes that depicted Megan on the run from Lanez and the caption “Run Ricky Run.” He also reportedly posted another meme of Lanez holding a gun in the guise of Mini Me from the Austin Powers films.

While Meg never specifically addressed 50s taunts, she did tweet, “black women are so unprotected & we h0ld so many things in to protect the feelings of others w/o considering our own. It might be funny to y’all on the internet and just another messy topic for you to talk about but this is my real life and I’m real life hurt and traumatized.” In an Instagram Live video on Monday, Meg assured fans that she’s doing okay, detailing the incident.

“I was shot in both of my feet, and I had to get surgery to get the sh– taken out, get the bullets taken out, and it was super scary,” she said while wiping away tears in the video. Fortunately, she reported the bullets in both feet didn’t hit her bones nor break any tendons. “I know my momma and my daddy, my granny had to be looking out for me with that one ’cause where the bullets hit at, it missed everything,” she noted.
