Kanye West Apologizes to Kim Kardashian for Twitter Rant

Kanye West is asking his wife, Kim Kardashian, for forgiveness after the controversial comments he made at his presidential campaign rally in South Carolina and on Twitter last week.

“I would like to apologize to my wife Kim for going public with something that was a private matter. I did not cover her like she has covered me,” Kanye tweeted on Saturday. “To Kim I want to say I know I hurt you. Please forgive me. Thank you for always being there for me.”

Last week, during his presidential rally in South Carolina, Kanye delivered an teary speech in which he claimed he and Kim had discussed the idea of aborting their first child, North, and that Kim might “divorce” him after she heard his message.

Then in a Twitter rant, he later claimed that Kim and her mother, Kris Jenner, were trying to get a doctor to “lock him up,” calling them “white supremacists.” He also said he had been trying to divorce Kim for months after suggesting a disingenuous meeting with rapper Meek Mill.

Kim responded to Kanye’s outbursts in a lengthy statement on Instagram, addressing Kanye’s bipolar disorder and asking the public and media to give him compassion and empathy.

Sources close to the Wests have shared that the rapper is currently surrounded by people who are trying to get him the help he needs. Kanye who is currently isolating in Wyoming was also visited by Justin Bieber earlier this week. On Friday, West posted a photo of Bieber sitting with Damon Dash, a co-founder of Roc-A-Fella Records.
