Ty Dolla $ign’s ‘Ego Death’ Vaults to Top Triller U.S. No. 1

“Ego Death” takes over from Armaan Malik’s “Next 2 Me,” which concurrently leads Top Triller Global for a second week.

Ty Dolla $ign’s “Ego Death” vaults to No. 1 on Billboard’s Top Triller U.S. chart in its second week of existence, while inaugural ruler Armaan Malik’s “Next 2 Me” reigns again on the Top Triller Global list dated July 25.

The Top Triller U.S. and Top Triller Global charts highlight the biggest songs on Triller based on a formula blending the amount of views of videos containing a respective song, the level of engagement with those videos and the raw total of videos uploaded featuring each song, according to Triller. Data for the charts is represented on a Friday-Thursday tracking week, with the latest period running July 10-16.

“Ego Death,” which features Kanye West, Skrillex and Fka Twigs, vaults to No. 1 on Top Triller U.S. over Malik’s “Next 2 Me,” which falls 1-2. “Ego Death” was originally released July 1 and bubbled under the Billboard Hot 100 dated July 18 via its first full tracking week of data.

Outside of the Triller platform, “Ego Death” launched with 4.5 million on-demand U.S. streams in its first full frame, and then earned 2.9 million on-demand streams in the tracking week ending July 16, coinciding with the tracking week for the latest Top Triller lists, on leading streaming services tracked by Nielsen Music/MRC Data.

According to Triller, the top video of the week for “Ego Death” was published July 9 by user lillexic; it’s accumulated 2.3 million global plays on Triller at press time.

“Ego Death” also launches to No. 2 on the Top Triller Global chart, behind “Next 2 Me.”

The next-best debut on Top Triller U.S. belongs to Tainy & J Balvin’s “Agua,” released via the soundtrack to the latest film in the SpongeBob SquarePants franchise, Sponge on the Run. It starts at No. 3 on Top Triller U.S. and also bows at No. 13 on Top Triller Global.

Released July 9, “Agua” concurrently bows at No. 16 on the Hot Latin Songs chart, with 2.3 million on-demand U.S. streams and 1,000 digital downloads accrued in its first full week.
