Sorry Influencers, It Looks Like Coachella Is Postponed

The organizers of the Coachella music festival are now asking artists booked for this year’s event to play in 2021 instead, in what is the clearest sign yet that the event will be canceled, according to Bloomberg.

Frank OceanTravis Scott, and Rage Against the Machine are set to headline the festival, which takes place every year in Indio, California. Back in March, Coachella’s promoter, Goldenvoice, already postponed the to October from its original April date in response to the coronavirus pandemic. However, it seems like the festival will be canceled this year.

With social distancing and other event restrictions still in place, the odds of staging the festival (that attracts as many as 200,000 people) grow less likely by the day. Reportedly, promoters are now asking 2020 acts to play next year.

Goldenvoice has yet to confirm the cancellation. Updates to follow.
