Beyoncé Honors Megan Thee Stallion’s Late Mother Holly on Her Website

Beyonce and Megan Thee Stallion’s bond is proving to be stronger than music. Over the weekend, Queen Bey paid tribute to Meg’s late mother on her birthday and posted a throwback photo of the two together on her website.

“Happy birthday, mama. I miss you everyday,” Megan wrote on Instagram, sharing the same photo used on the website. “I know you’re watching over me rooting for me and keeping me going. I don’t have you physically here telling me what I should do so I’ve been trying to figure it out on my own remembering all the advice and lessons you’ve taught me before. You are such a strong woman and I promise to make you proud and be one too! We love you Holly!”

Last week, Megan enlisted Beyonce for her monstrous “Savage (Remix).” An overwhelmed Meg effusively praised her idol the day after releasing the track. “You go from going to a Destiny’s Child concert in like the fifth grade and you see Destiny’s Child, and it’s really freakin’ amazing,” she said on her Instagram Live. “And wanting to be a performer, wanting to be in the music industry, wanting to be any kind of entertainer, and you look at Beyonce, Beyonce is the standard.”

Aside from dropping fiery features, Beyonce is also continuing her fight to help African Americans get tested for COVID-19. As part of her mother’s #IDIDMYPART campaign, the singer’s philanthropic initiative BeyGOOD, along with Tina Knowles-Lawson, is providing mobile testing relief in their hometown of Houston. Tyler Perry has accepted the challenge and will be offering testing in Atlanta, GA.

“The virus is wreaking havoc on the Black community so we need a movement to prioritize our health,” Knowles-Lawson says in a press release.

#IDIDMYPART mobile testing will be available Friday, May 8, and Saturday, May 9, in Houston, TX.
