Happy 4/20: Here Are the 8 Best Ways to Celebrate the Stoner Holiday

Of course Snoop and Willie Nelson have something for you.

It wouldn’t be 4/20 without Snoop Dogg and Willie Nelson. So of course America’s favorite tokers have big plans in store for Monday (April 20), which just happens to be a triple 4/20 since it’s taking place in 2020.

Snoop is celebrating the long-awaited worldwide digital release of Dr. Dre‘s The Chronic — a stone-cold 4/20 classic — with a livestream and smoke-in DJ set at 4:20 pm. PST. Check out seven more excellent ways to celebrate the day below.

Willie Nelson

Stoner icon Nelson is hosting the “Come and Toke It” variety show at 4:20 CDT, which is slated to feature appearances from other artists as well as chefs, comedians and cannabis experts. The four hour, 20 minute event will also feature cooking and cocktail demos, with one participant chosen at random to talk to Nelson and wish him a happy birthday in advance during the broadcast.

Among the stars slated to perform and/or appear: Matthew McConaughey, Jeff Bridges, Kacey Musgraves, Billy Ray Cyrus, Toby Keith, Tommy Chong, Ziggy Marley, Aaron Lewis, Kevin Smith, Elle King, Nathaniel Rateliff, Shakey Graves, Bill Maher, Angel Olsen, Lukas Nelson, Margo Price, Edie Brickell, Billy Joe Shaver, Beto O’Rourke, Caamp and many more.

Luck and Willie’s Reserve are also joining up to launch the #comeandtokeit and #passleft challenge, which may result in a chance to have a smoking session with Willie. All you have to do is post a video of yourself passing whatever you like to the left with the hashtags. You can stream it here.

Bob Marley

Since you’re already staying at home, the Marley family has the perfect chill-out option for you. The reggae legend’s new 24-hour “Kaya Radio” broadcast kicked off at midnight, as the latest part of the yearlong “Marley 75” celebration. The station will offer a mix of Marley’s classics, some rare songs, live cuts from Bob and his family as well as episodes of the Bob Marley Legacy docuseries.

Check it out below.

Jim Jones

Great American Sesh In

The perfect online music and arts festival will bring together Too $hort, Cypress Hills’ B-Real, Citizen Cope, Tommy Chong and Thievery Corpoation’s Rob Garza, plus comedians and cannabis advocates.
