Myke Towers’ Old-School Quarantine Playlist Brings Back Reggaeton & Hip-Hop Classics: Listen

Myke Towers is bringing back the classics during the coronavirus quarantine.

The Puerto Rican urban artist curated a playlist for Billboard, highlighting 14 songs he listens to while his time at home amid the global pandemic.

“During quarantine I have been going back to some of my all-time favorite albums, dissecting them and finding inspiration,” he tells Billboard, stating that some of his preferred sets include Biggie’s Ready to Die, Jay Z’s The Blueprint, Daddy Yankee’s Barrio Fino, Tego Calderon’s El Abayarde and his very own Easy Money Baby.

“They inspire what I want to create and implement into the new music I am working on. I listen to my album too because it’s part of the learning process. I listen to it over and over again to figure out what could have been done better and what was done correctly.”

On his quarantine playlist for Billboard, Towers included old-school reggaeton and hip-hop songs such as Biggie’s “Who Shot Ya,” Arcangel’s “Por Amor a Ciegas,” and Don Omar’s “Dile.”
