Anitta, Matoma, Nas & More Set For LiveXLive 48-Hour Streaming Festival 'Music Lives': Exclusive

The massive two-day event will feature more than 50 artists performing over two days (April 17-19) to benefit the MusiCare COVID-19 Relief Fund.

LiveXLive Media is teaming up with TikTok for a 48-hour livestreamed festival, “Music Lives,” which will air on April 17-19 and benefit the MusiCares COVID-19 Relief Fund, Billboard can reveal today (April 13).

The multi-genre event will feature more than 35 artists, including Anitta, Arcángel, Big Gigantic (DJ Set), Brytiago, Curtis Roach, DJ Bash, DJ Pope, Dr. Fresch, Eladio Carrion, Fonseca, Gente De Zona, Gigolo y la Exce, Gioli & Assia, Kevvo, Elephante, Maddy O’Neal, Matoma, Maxi, Michigander, Mihali, Nahko, Nas, Nik West, No Suits, Rafa Pabon, Snbrn, Stefan Benz, Swae Lee, Tabi, The Funk Hunters, Trippie Redd, Two Feet, Two Friends and 10K.Caash.

According to LiveXLive, Global Citizen and the World Health Organization’s “One World: Together at Home” broadcast on April 18 will join the “Music Lives” schedule. Beginning on Friday (April 17), fans around the world will have access to 24 hours of non-stop streaming performances from artist’s living rooms, backyards, private studios and hometowns on LiveXLive.com and its apps, as well as on TikTok and LiveXLive’s TikTok account.

“Music Lives” will also host quarantine-relevant programming tied to wellness, mindfulness, health safety and more self-care tops from leading experts and artists, with fans able to chat and share with other viewers during the broadcast. “The world, including the music industry, has been turned on its head over the past six weeks,” Dermot McCormack, president of LiveXLive said in a statement.

“Community and connection are at the heart of live music and it’s our mission with Music Lives to bring that heart to the comfort of people’s homes around the world during this time of ‘social distancing.’ It’s uncertain how long these circumstances will last and this multi-day, multi-genre festival can become more than a one-and- done event to an extended period of meaningful programming. Together with TikTok and these incredible artists, we’ll unite our global village with music.”

TikTok’s North American head of music partnerships and content operations, Corey Sheridan, added, “TikTok is proud to partner with LiveXLive to create an immersive, multi-day live-stream experience on our platform with #musiclives and to support artists, songwriters, and music professionals through MusiCares.
